Project Description

Repping the incredible females who fuel the speciality movement, Fiona O’Brien and Casey Lalonde launched Girls Who Grind in October 2017 to offer an alternative to the male-dominated coffee scene.

Women make up over 50 per cent of the coffee farming workforce, but are often under-acknowledged and underpaid. So this girl-power gang is supporting them by only roasting coffees grown by female producers and working with organisations that support and empower them.

The dynamic duo – Casey previously roasted in Vermont while Fi designed kickass branding and crafted incredible coffee back home in Melbourne – blend their experience to produce a beautifully-packaged selection of seasonal small batch beans.

Single origins from the Wiltshire roastery have so far included an incredible Kenya AA Gichuna Kiambu and their first Sisterhood Relationship Coffee, which is sourced from three sisters in El Salvador.
