In sourcing the best beans the net is cast far and wide, taking in Ethiopia, Guatemala and Colombia where farmers struggle with market and climate challenges. These beans make up the brand’s hero-range such as Cast Iron or go into limited editions including Unkle Funka and Strong Man.

Community is close to the growing team’s heart and their roastery doors often open for tastings, events or just a quick brew. The wider coffee world also beats a path to the roastery to take advantage of the barista training and SCA courses.
Riding on the crest of the collaboration wave, Extract has also somehow found the energy to craft a stonking coffee IPA with Bristol neighbours Wiper & True, while Callum and James represented Extract in the UK Barista Championship and Coffee in Good Spirits finals.
