Project Description

The intoxicating aroma of straight-from-the-drum coffee lures bean geeks, students, flagging tourists and local business folk into Liverpool’s first roastery coffee shop.

With an on-site brew bar and three other venues in the North West to keep stocked with ethically sourced beans, the Baltic team find themselves roasting up to five times a week.

An ethical cup is important to the gang and they know the links in the supply chain as names not numbers. A percentage of retail sales goes to Project Waterfall which works to improve coffee farmers’ access to clean drinking water.

Sample the latest blends and single origins at one of the regular cupping sessions or order a bag online to road-test at home. A good place to start is the house espresso, Hope Street, which offers notes of salted caramel, dark chocolate and blueberry.
