The Coffee Gift Box contains two bags of speciality-grade, whole bean coffee which has been roasted by that month’s hand-picked independent roasteries. It’ll be delivered to their door with a gift card and a copy of monthly journal, Brew which features tasting notes and roastery details for the coffee, cafe recipes and features.
Beans are roasted to bring out the unique flavours of the coffee when brewed using an espresso machine or stovetop. Espresso machines produce a concentrated, ‘stronger’ tasting coffee that can be drunk on its own, with hot water or with steamed milk to create a flat white, cappuccino or latte.
Filter beans are roasted for filter brew methods such as cafetiere, AeroPress, V60 or percolator. Filter roasts are typically roasted lighter to reveal more subtle flavours in the coffee.
If you’re brewing using an espresso method select an espresso roast and we’ll send you a coffee box with coffee beans that are roasted to taste best for espresso.
If you use a filter method we’ll send you a box with filter roast beans, these will reveal subtler, sweeter flavours.
However, taste is subjective. If you like more body and a darker flavour, go for an espresso roast subscription box. If you prefer a lighter flavour, then select a filter roast coffee box.
And if you want to switch it up, you can change your subscription box free of charge at anytime.
